Getting from BER Airport to Berlin
Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt (IATA code BER) is in Schönefeld, on the southern edge of Berlin. It opened in 2020 and replaced the old Tegel and Schönefeld airports, so it is now the only commercial airport serving the capital. Travel time and best departure time
Outside rush hour, the drive from BER to central Berlin takes about 35 minutes via the A113 and the city motorway. On weekday mornings and late afternoons, or when there are roadworks, allow up to an hour. For departures from BER we suggest leaving central Berlin about 3 hours before an international flight.
